What I Couldn’t Find, I Had to Build
Little Haven didn’t start as a business plan. It started as a dream — my dream. For more than a decade, I’ve wanted a home of my own. Not big. Not fancy. Just something small, stable, and mine.
I started sketching small home designs back in 2012, long before “tiny homes” were trendy. I wasn’t chasing a fad — I was chasing a way of life that felt possible for me. Living with a disability, I knew every step mattered because I learned early that economy of movement was essential to managing my disability. I didn’t need (or want) 2,500 square feet. It’s just me. I needed a home that didn’t waste my energy, a place that would support me, not break me down.
Every time I went looking for that kind of home, I came up empty. What I found were houses too expensive, too big, or too out of reach. I found policies that told me what I need wasn’t allowed so I couldn’t even custom-build something that would work for me. The message was clear: the housing system doesn’t care what people actually need. It only cares about what makes money.
The truth is, what I’ve wanted doesn’t exist — not yet. So if I couldn’t find it, I had to build it.
That’s what Little Haven is. It’s me chasing my dream — and building a path so others can reach theirs, too. It’s about proving that stability, belonging, and ownership aren’t luxuries. They’re essentials. And they should be possible for people like me, and for people like you.
This isn’t just a company I’m creating. It’s the life I’ve wanted for myself for more than a decade. It’s the life I believe thousands of families are waiting for, too.
It starts with one dream: owning a home that makes life possible.
